IBWA PROMOTES STAFF MEMBER TO VICE PRESIDENT
(ALEXANDRIA, VA) —The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) is
pleased to announce that Robert Hirst has been promoted to Vice President, Education,
Science, and Technical Relations. “Bob is smart, conscientious, diligent,
hard working and is well liked by both staff and members. I am certain that Bob
will perform his new duties with the same skill and enthusiasm that he has demonstrated
during the past seven years at IBWA,” remarked Doss.
Mr. Hirst’s primary responsibilities at IBWA for the past seven years have
included technical and regulatory education, food safety and security, technical
services, and management of IBWA’s HACCP and GMP-based plant inspection
program. Prior to coming to IBWA in 1998, Mr. Hirst was the Laboratory and Water
Resources Director at AquaPenn Spring Water Company, based in Pennsylvania with
plants also in Florida and California. He has 30 years of experience in both
government and industry in water resource development and management, public
water system and bottled water regulation, food safety and security, water quality
monitoring, standards development, quality assurance, and laboratory analysis.
